Boston cream doughnut

The Boston cream doughnut (sometimes written with "donut" or "creme") is a doughnut with chocolate frosting and a creamy vanilla or custard filling: the miniature version of the Boston Cream Pie.[1][2] The Boston cream donut was designated the official doughnut of Massachusetts in 2003[3] after the Boston cream pie was chosen as the state dessert in 1996. They are made with sugar, butter, flour, whole milk, vanilla, and eggs.[4]
